The children’s library renovation was completed in December 2019. Thanks to generous local support, the Friends of the Library is proud to have contributed over $62,000 to the renovation. This has been a true community effort. If you made a contribution, gave a pair of shoes, bought a book at the Book Nook, attended Trivia Night or bought a quilt raffle ticket, you have contributed to this renovation and we thank you with all our heart for your kindness and generosity.
The new children’s area is a thoroughly modern space with plenty of comfortable seating (for adults and children alike!) that encourages lingering and exploration. The goal behind the design is to encourage and develop a sense of wonder and imagination in the world around us. The Friends of the Library funded the Wonder Wall (a high-resolution electronic display of nature and macro photography videos) and hundreds of new non-fiction books

“The world is full of magical places, and the library has always been one of them for me. A library can be that special place for our children.”
