Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. The board is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who volunteer and raise money to benefit Mount Dora’s W.T. Bland Public Library. We could not do the work we do without your help! We are grateful for your continued generous support.
The Friends proudly support programs that inspire learning and creativity throughout the year:
- Early Learning Story Times – 6 days a week
- Special Events – including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Holiday Cookie Decorating, Butterfly Release
- Summer Learning Programs – such as the Science Lab, Rainbow Lab, and live animal encounters with Gatorland and the Central Florida Zoo
- 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten – encouraging young readers from the very start
- Lobby Experiences – interactive themes like Let’s Lego!, Space:The Planets and new this year Little Golden Books
- New Story Books – on the Forest Preserve Walk monthly
Together, we help make the library a place of discovery, imagination, and community for all ages.
